Projects I am working on at the moment. Most are related to books I've started.
(1) Mountain of Gold. Book about experiences as a geologist, mining scams I investigated, things I discovered, prospectors I met, people I worked for (good & bad) & lost treasures.
(2) Gold - Geology, Prospecting Methods, History & Exploration. Book on how to find gold & the geology that led to discovery of various deposits & and where to find these deposits.
(3) Prospectors Handbook. Book I started years ago on how to prospect - basically a guide for the layman.
(4) Diamonds & Source Rocks in North America. I've written several books on diamonds. Recently I published an article on diamond characteristics in Industrial Minerals & Rocks (7th Edition) for SME, and an article on - Diamond Deposits of the North American Craton in the 2008 Wyoming Geological Association Guidebook. So I've decided to expand on this for another diamond book.
(5) Gemstones of the World - Geology, Occurrence & Exploration. I had a contract with SME to write this book, but they backed out after I submitted the first draft with color photos (I'm still astonished that they didn't want any color photos with a gem book). The manuscript was about 890 pages (I admit - it was too long). This may have been a blessing in disguised. I published one book with SME on Diamond Deposits that is sold for an outrageous price - even I won't buy my own book. So I plan to revise this manuscript and shorten to about 400 pages and try to find a good Geoscience publisher.
(6) Martial Arts - A Layman's Guide. This book is close to being done and I will first search for a outside publisher. This is a guidebook for martial arts - something that doesn't exist
(7) Making of a Grandmaster - Guidebook to Shorin-Ryu Karate (Seiyo Kai). I'm still collecting information on this book about my martial art and what led me to become a grandmaster.
(8) Search for Major Diamond Deposits in the world. While searching for diamond deposits in Colorado, Montan, Kansas and Wyoming, I discovered >300 high-quality targets. I also began searching elsewhere in the world & found kimberlites in Australia, Africa & Canada. I hope to get some sort of consulting contract with a small, well-financed diamond company to pursue these targets. If not, I will publish this information on the internet.
